Food photography workshop

Updated: Oct 14, 2020

Conducting "food photography workshops" have never been so much fun with people who shared the same interest. The amount of time i've spent and invested on these people are totally worth it.

"Perspective is something that you see from camera's perspective where it's not quite perceivable/ apparent to our naked eyes."

“ If you have a passion, go dream and start working on it even if it seems impossible to achieve. People may judge us along the way, but it's you who will prove them wrong. Be courageous, wild and unpredictable." -squarepad-

PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP 9.0

In collaboration with: fujifilm malaysia x squarepad

HOSTED BY: LITTLE PEOPLE

.

My very first Food Photography workshop that focused purely on FUJIFILM's camera setting assisted by 2-3 FUJIFILM's X- Photographer and my talented friend Daphne Yoo with her FUJIFILM XT1, 56mm f1.2 perspective and Anderson with his FUJIFILM X100T, 23mm f2 perspective.

PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP 10.0

HOSTED BY: POSH COFFEE ROASTERY

.

This workshop is probably the "most advance workshop" I've ever handled among my other Photography Workshops because everyone knows the camera SETTINGS very well that they require NO GUIDANCE at all except for the perspective in food framing. Workshop 10.0 marked my final workshop of year 2017. Super thankful and grateful for the opportunity given to guide others and to build a #coffeemeetbojio community!!!

PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP 11.0

HOSTED BY: MECHANIC CAFE, CHERAS

.

It's my dream to organise my workshop here because I personally feel that this cafe represent me very much (black & white theme). This is the first time having a Black & White dress code for my workshop. I'm glad that all of them followed the theme. This cafe is probably the most comfortable cafe with great access to natural lighting. Most importantly, the food is reasonably priced. I would definitely come by more often if there are nearer to me! I'm beyond words that I have just finished yet another photography workshop.

CHINESE NEW YEAR GATHERING 2018

So I have difficulty in choosing the photos taken tonight and I uploaded them all here as a memory. Thank you all for making an effort to come for this mini gathering despite being busy with work/ exam & travel. Definitely an unforgettable experience where we spent a total of RM 1530.95 on food and drinks alone. Finally, thank you Jibby & Co for hosting this gathering.

PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP 12.0

HOSTED BY: FORET BLANC, SRI PETALING

.

This is my first workshop ever conducted in a dessert cafe. Lucky enough Jaiseri and her team were able to do a MOCK ice cream and dessert so that it didn't melt fast during photo-taking session. The theme we have here PINK TOP and I was happy that everyone made the effort to come with one. Yet again, another workshop done and I'm blessed to have Daphne Yoo (photographer), a FUJIFILM XT1 user herself to cover this workshop with her amazing perspective in framing.

PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP 13.0

HOSTED BY: GROUND EATERY, PUCHONG

.

Completed yet another workshop conducted by myself with the help of friends whom used to be my students from different batches of workshops. So glad that they all have improved so much that they can now guide others as well. This workshop not only guide and teach but also to inspire and connect people with the same interest especially in photography related field. Special thanks to Pamela, Jerlyn, Violette, Leon and Niko for your excellent guidance and coverage during the workshop. Also not to forget Shirley Kwong (cafe owner) who offer the space for the workshop to be conducted and not to mentioned that the food is AMAZING!!

PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP 14.0

HOSTED BY: BREW & BREAD, KOTA KEMUNING

It has been quite an enjoyable experience for me to share what I know about food photography with you guys despite spending 6.5 hours (probably the longest workshop ever conducted). Thank you all who have helped out during this workshop. Couldn't have done this without help from close buddy. Till then, let me start working on my first interstate workshop at MALACCA.

PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP 16.0, 17.0 and 18.0

HOSTED BY: BREW & BREAD (WISMA MCA)

The workshop 16, 17 and 18 are somewhat memorable because I completed them all before CMCO 2.0 was announced 1 day after. The workshop was hosted by BREW and BREAD cafe where they are kind enough to allow me to use the space. Also not to forget my friend Kok Wei, Emily and Pamela for helping up during the workshop. However, the one who encouraged me most to conduct workshop again is the special someone Stephanie who constantly reassure me everything will be okay. Thanks all <3
